The Defense group supports the Department of Defense (DoD) mission to keep our homeland and its citizens safe. We provide solutions to improve the Nation's defense by providing software, systems engineering, IT, training and logistics and fleet management solutions.


Responsibilities

The qualified candidate will lead the Cyber Operations strategy to defend the network at the boundary, midpoint, and endpoint to ensure a strong security posture across all task orders. This includes leading the team in the performance of cyber threat and vulnerability intelligence analysis, correlation of actionable security events, network traffic analysis using various log and data sources, including raw packet data, netflow, IDS, IPS, and custom sensor output as it pertains to the cyber security of communication networks. In addition, the qualified candidate will lead the Team on the effective tuning of defensive capabilities to inform effective and durable countermeasures. Oversight of the following tasks include:

Perform analysis on relevant network defense data from various sources to establish the timeline of events associated with both attempted and successful network intrusions.
Maintain high level situational awareness, and leverage understanding of threats to prioritize analysis
Inform countermeasures through identification of new tactics, techniques, and procedures used by threat actors
Mentor technical staff and provide clear goals and objectives for progression
Support the development of analytical procedures and advanced detection and correlation content to meet changing requirements, and continue evolution towards a threat focused Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) strategy
Support the refinement of SIEM reports to track trends and demonstrate countermeasure effectiveness


Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


Bachelor's degree with minimum 15 years of experience relevant Cyber Security and IT.
Demonstrated experience providing strategic SME support in Cybersecurity.
Strong understanding of defensive cyber processes, methods, tools, capabilities, and network engineering.
Proven ability to translate technical details to senior leaders.
Ability to write and verbally communicate cyber security and risk-related concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Must have strong problem-solving and analytical skills and demonstrate poise and ability to act calmly and competently in high-pressure, high-stress situations.
Must have experience to brief Senior or General Office level customers.
Must have strong interpersonal and networking skills.
Must have demonstrated track record of competency with experience including cybersecurity, information security technologies, and IT.
8570 IAM III level certification.
US Citizenship with an active TS/SCI clearance is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


Information security experience as a DoD and/or Intelligence Community employee or contractor.
Demonstrated use of analysis, design, development, and implementation of technical solutions.
Masters degree in Engineering or related technical field
