Offerings & Solution Development

The Offerings and Solution Development team is responsible for ensuring a fully integrated, industry-leading portfolio of offerings that are repeatable, differentiated solutions aligned to our customers' goals. The team leverages client intimacy to drive a competitive advantage while also driving offering differentiation through innovation, IP/patents, and digital services.


The Cybersecurity EA will be a leader in strategy and innovation in the evaluation of and planning for systems and technologies to solve cybersecurity challenges facing the various customers we support across the US Public Sector. The position will focus on leading the following:

  • Documentation of current solution/services architectures (business services provided and technologies employed in delivering the services), including an assessment of business value, technical risk, service cost, and organizational alignment.
  • Design of a future state architecture that includes business services to be provided, technologies to be employed in delivering those services, a projection of business value, reduced technical risk and service cost, and enhanced organizational alignment.
  • Development and documentation of gap analysis and closure plans, including a detailed analysis of the gaps between the as-is and to-be states and a plan of action necessary to close the gaps, prioritized based upon business value and dependencies.
  • Development and management of a set of technology and business standards necessary to help accelerate the movement towards the future state.

Key Responsiibilities

  • Build effective relationships with customers to identify business needs, strategic drivers, and constraints and evaluate and design architectural solutions that meet needs and align with customer strategies
  • Technical development, competitive costing, business case alignment of Enterprise Services solutions supporting client business and/or information technology environments. These solutions cover:
    • Services startup/transition
    • Technology/process transformation
    • Ongoing delivery of services
    • Technology refresh
  • Mentor and coach customers, staff, and teams in new technologies
  • Engage professional organizations and vendors to maintain awareness and evaluations of new technologies and products leading to recommendations for evaluation and delivery of high-value business and technology services
  • Influences client evaluation criteria and decision making.
  • Works individually, in team or as leader, to determine customer requirements in complex and often ambiguous environments. Interacts effectively with team, pursuit leaders, internal governance and business leadership to advance sales efforts.
  • Creates compelling messages within white papers and presentations that allow clients and pursuit team member understand the problem/opportunity domain, the potential solution alternatives and how HP can provide the most benefit to the client.



  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively independently and in team settings to include close collaboration with program managers, solution leaders, and clients.
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business, computer science, electrical engineering, systems engineering, information technology, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience with technical/consultative selling
  • Experience working with US Federal Government and/or State & Local customers
  • US Citizen, Security Clearance is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience leading groups of 5-10 people on Solutioning efforts or sales pursuits

Skill sets:

  • Deep understanding of US public sector client security requirements related to their mission, business and policy objectives including but not limited to FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-37, FIPS 199, FIPS 200 and Industrial Security including SCIF Operations, HIPAA, PCI-, PII and 508 compliance
  • Deep understanding of IT security policy, process, technology and services
  • Ability to understand our competitors security related capabilities including:
  • Governance, Risk, and Compliance
  • Digital forensic investigation services
  • Continuous Monitoring
  • Application/Software Security
  • Identity and Access Management
  • Endpoint and Infrastructure Management
  • Data Protection and Privacy
  • Network and Host Security
  • Security Operations
  • Industrial Security including SCIF Operations

Certifications desired:

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Federal Enterprise Architecture Certification (FEAC)
  • The Open Group Architectural Framework (TOGAF)
