Job Description

Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Training, the Manager, Learning Technology & Instructional Design is primarily responsible for the management of learning systems and the instructional design of training content. Within learning systems, this individual will manage functionality, solution implementation, training and relevant system updates.  Additionally, this role requires the ability to oversee content development for new hire training and regional and national meetings, while working closely with training colleagues and relevant cross-functional stakeholders.

Additionally, the  Manager, Learning Technology & Instructional Design will serve as an administrator for the TEVA LMS system ensuring that mandatory course work speciific to sales roles (i.e. Credentialing, Fleet, Sampling etc.) is accurately assigned and completed for relevant stakeholders. This position includes the day-to-day operation of our current infrastructure, as well as our future-state environment.

  

The Manager, Learning Technology & Instructional Design will also serve as project lead when interfacing with systems partners and/or preferred technology and instructional design vendors.  During launch times this role will be called upon to bring innovative and creative ideas to the development and design of online and blended learning experiences.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Manage and administer the day-to-day functions of learning platforms for primary stakeholders
  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content
  • Create and facilitate technology based training sessions/workshops
  • Support the development of training standards and best practices (i.e. SOP)
  • Project management in the conception, design, development, deployment, maintenance, and evaluation of technology-based learning solutions
  • Develop and manage metrics for measuring the success of technology-based learning programs
  • Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
  • Collaboratively work with training managers  to develop solutions that improve overall performance and align solutions with strategic priorities of the organization
  • Ensures optimal user experience to drive measurable results
  • Stay ahead of new technology and instructional design methodologies and effectively advocate for their use
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience managing high level virtual, interactive training initiatives
  • Possess strong computer skills, including a sophisticated knowledge of web-based application,multimedia /video
  • Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology
  • Experience gathering and documenting system requirements
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Basic HTML and Flash programming knowledge
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Results-oriented with demonstrated sense of urgency
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to perform in high pressure and fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System (LMS)
