Perspectas Civilian, State and Local segment partners with the U.S. Federal Civilian State and Local governments to provide infrastructure services, business solutions, and digital transformation services that help them achieve policy objectives and integrate citizen-centric services.


The responsibilities include technical support for the National Nanotechnology Coordination Office (NNCO). The individual may be asked to gather technical information regarding National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI) agency programs, prepare reviews of the literature, develop technical presentations, or develop technical summaries of meetings and/or reports.

The individual will provide comprehensive support for the Nanotechnology Signature Initiatives (NSIs). The individual will provide technical support in organizing meetings, conference calls, interagency workshops, and other events in support of these groups. The individual will assist NSI participants and facilitate the drafting and editing of relevant NNI documents. The individual will maintain close contact with NSI representatives from all participating agencies, encouraging participation and interagency cooperation where possible and appropriate. The individual will assist in organizing meetings to discuss and prioritize proposals for new NSIs, assist in identifying relevant agencies and programs for participation, and help facilitate the development and editing of white papers describing the proposed topics. With the NNCO Director and Deputy Director, the individual will serve as one of the NNCO points of contact for the NSIs, consult with senior NNI management regularly, and respond to inquiries.

Requirements: Knowledge and understanding of the functioning of the U.S. Government, particularly the Executive Branch. High-level analytical and writing skills. Ph.D. in a scientific discipline relevant to nanotechnology, e.g., physics, materials science, chemistry, biology. Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, time-management, and note-taking skills. Exquisite attention to detail.


Requires 12 to 15 years with BS/BA or 10 to 13 years with MS/MA or 7 to 9 years with Ph.D.
