Job Description

Position Summary

You will analyze, troubleshoot and maintain process equipment and components  to ensure continuity of operations and maximize equipment reliability and uptime. 

Work Shift is 6:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot/perform necessary repairs on various types of production equipment
  • Support the execution of work orders, breakdown maintenance and preventive maintenance for process equipment
  • Support the development and enhancement of maintenance procedures to improve equipment reliability and uptime
  • Perform general maintenance including welding, basic electrical work, fabrication and installation of parts
  • Provide equipment related subject matter expertise for possible upgrades and troubleshooting
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment as part of capital projects
  • Timely closure of Urgent and Scheduled Work Orders, ensuring Good Documentation Practices
  • Housekeeping of the Maintenance Ownership areas, e.g., the Maintenance Shop.
  • Actively participate in pass down meetings, operational improvement, departmental/safety meetings
  • Assist/train other mechanics in performing maintenance duties, PM routines and trouble shootings.




  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience required
  • Technical Associates degree or vocational school training desirable


Experience Required

  • Minimum of 10 years process equipment maintenance experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in  a c GMP environment including:
    • Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track scheduling and execution of work orders
    • Experience troubleshooting hardware and software used on SCADA systems (e.g., industrial PCs, PLCs, HMIs)
    • Experience repairing, replacing and troubleshooting electro-mechanical components e.g., gear boxes, modulating valves, components of hydraulic systems, electrical motors, and VFDs
