Defense

The Defense group supports the Department of Defense (DoD) mission to keep our homeland and its citizens safe. We provide solutions to improve the Nation's defense by providing software, systems engineering, IT, training and logistics and fleet management solutions.


Responsibilities

The Security+ training specialist will design, develop, and deliver hands-on training and eLearning curriculum for adult learners in support of the White House Communications Agency (WHCA) Training Academy (TA).

Required Skills:

  • Experience developing courseware, writing training materials, delivering training, and setting up and maintaining a computer training environment, and using customer satisfaction surveys for course evaluation.
  • Demonstrated experience writing training manuals (instructor and participant guides) and user manuals.
  • Demonstrated experience in help desk support and systems administration.
  • Ability to design and produce training tools, such as printable job aids and quick reference guides.
  • Ability to deliver train-the-trainer and instructor-led training.
  • Ability to design and produce eLearning training material.
  • Familiarity with standard instructional systems development models, such as ADDIE or Agile design.
  • Ability to serve as the primary customer representative for development and delivery of customized training solutions and documentation.
  • Ability to encourage classroom participation and facilitate change manage
  • ment for target audience.
  • Ability to learn and apply customer needs/business knowledge to ensure client satisfaction of delivery outcomes.
  • Ability to update CompTIA Security+ course curriculum to reflect latest exam version.
  • Ability to obtain Network+ certifications and eventually instruct other IT related courses.

  • Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment with varying priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and professional skills
  • Ability to work with a cross-functional team (developers, testers, analysts, and management)
  • Ability to produce professional deliverables using Microsoft Office

Qualifications

  • CompTIA Certification Security+
  • Bachelors Degree or higher + 2 years of experience; or 5+ years of military/business training experience.
  • Possess a current TS/SCI with Presidential Support Duty (PSD) clearance.
