Qualifications Required skills
- BS in engineering, computer science, physics or related technical degree with 5 to 8 years experience, MS in engineering, computer science, physics ore related technical degree with 3 to 5 years experience and 0 to 2 years with PhD
- Proficient with analyzing simulation results and modifying simulation to capture future space system design concepts
- Understanding of GEOINT customer's mission capabilities and overall space architecture
- Detailed knowledge of satellite orbits and familiarity with performing orbit trades
- Sensor phenomenology domain
- Proven analytical skills and demonstrated problem solving capability
- Familiarity with MATLAB, excel, and R scripting
- Demonstrated ability to work in a small team environment
Strongly Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with direct GEOINT customer, technical familiarity with modeling and analysis of future GEOINT architectures
Responsibilities This position requires an understanding of the GEOINT customer domain, along with a focus on modeling and analysis of future concepts and architectures. The candidate will perform extensive modeling and simulation analysts in support of customer studies to assess sensor, system and architecture performance. The candidate will also coordinate results with team members and interact with the customer and other contractors. The candidate will be responsible to lead orbit trade studies and perform assessment of future GEOINT systems. The candidate will have to translate complex analysis results for customer level consumption including compiling results into briefings and presentation materials. The candidate will also respond to adhoc quick turnaround customer requests. This position will evaluates new technologies for application in improving design of aerospace sensor or systems. The selected candidate will formulate mathematical models or other methods of computer analysis to develop, evaluate, or modify design according to customer designs. The candidate will review performance reports and design information from vendors and customers and develop methodology to implement the designs into simulation models. The selected candidate will maintain and enhance the existing GEOINT visualization tool in order to graphically depict results.
