As an Analyst in Global Banking (GB), you’ll be a critical member of the team supporting our clients - traditional corporates, financial and public sector institutions, and financial sponsors (e.g. private equity).  You’ll help clients by providing investment banking (IB) solutions that support critical strategic events (e.g. acquisition and IPOs) or raise funds from investors in the capital or loan markets.  You’ll be joining an established team supporting one of the following sectors: Capital Goods/Industrials, Chemicals, Consumer/Retail, Healthcare, Financial Sponsors Group, Technology, or M&A.#LI-KM1

Required Skills

Here’s what you can expect on a typical day:

  • Technical Skills:  You are an expert with MS Office, particularly Excel, and you’ll use your technical skills to develop valuations, build financial models, and conduct analyses.  You’ll also assist in the preparation of presentations for clients.
  • Core banking skills.  You’ll use your analytical skills and industry knowledge to help the team develop client strategies.  You’ll develop your knowledge of the investment banking business to help give clients the advice they value.  Your IB, accounting, consulting, or tax practice experience will be a good platform for this.
  • Communication skills:  Relationships are everything and you’ll develop your professional presence to effectively present to colleagues and clients – showing off your verbal, written and listening skills.
  • Interpersonal skills:  You’ll show your ability to quickly pivot between individual contribution and team-work to efficiently get the job done. Your creativity, common sense and your initiative mean that you’ll make an immediate contribution to the team.
  • Curiosity:  You’ll be learning so much every day, and we’ll help you broaden your horizons and nurture your curiosity.  You’ll control your own development, with access to business leaders for coaching and advice.  Your mentor and buddy will help point you in the right direction and you’ll receive plenty of feedback to develop your skills. We value diversity of thought – your opinions and insights will be really important.
  • You may have your Series 63 and 79 FINRA licenses already, but if not, we’ll provide training and support for you as you’ll need to obtain these licenses when you join.
