Qualifications - IAT Level-II certificate that meets DoD8570 requirements (Security+)
- Understanding of network troubleshooting, TCP/IP, subnets, Virtual Desktop Instances (VDI), SQL databases, Server and thick client administration, VMWare virtual environments, Linux and Windows administration
- McAfee administration experience or comparable endpoint security suite
- USAF Asset Configuration Compliance Monitor (ACCM) administration experience
- McAfee Rogue System Detection (RSD) administration
- SQL Database administration experience
- Server administration experience on multiple networks
- Virtualization technology knowledge and experience
Desired Certifications:- HBSS Administrator 201-V5
- HBSS Advanced Administrator 301-V5
- IT Administration or Security degree
Additional Requirements:- Written and Verbal Communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and reprioritize as necessary
- Ability to work with limited to no supervision at times
- Experience with Microsoft Office,
- Willingness to occasionally work Weekends and Holidays
Responsibilities ESS Administrators plan, conduct and assist with endpoint software deployments and agent/client upgrades. ESS Administrators also create customer based signatures and analyze alert data from systems such as HBSS to help develop strategies for addressing threats.
ESS Administrators monitor and analyze data generated by the McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator tool and are responsible for troubleshooting system errors/latency traced to ESS security suite across live IT environments.
ESS Administrators perform tuning and optimizations of McAfee or other endpoint security system rules and alerts and are responsible for specifying proper types of files organization, indexing methods, and security procedures. In some instances perform detailed comparisons of various data base systems.
The ESS Administrator will also work, resolve, and track ESS systems actions and problems using Remedy Incident and Service Request Management.
Candidate must be able to perform the following tasks:
- Perform McAfee ESS administration in the following capacities:
- ePolicy Orchestrator (EPO)
- Endpoint Security suite (ENS) - (Platform, Firewall, Threat Prevention, Detection, & Reporting)
- Endpoint Security suite Linux (ENSL) - (Platform, Firewall, Threat Prevention, Detection, & Reporting for Linux systems)
- McAfee Application & Change Control (MACC)
- Data Loss Prevention / Device Control Module (DLP/DCM)
- Host Intrusion Prevention System (HIPS)
- Virus Scan Enterprise (VSE/L)
- Rogue System Detection (RSD)
- Policy Auditor (PA)
- Comply with policies and requirements from multiple sources to include USCYBERCOM, DISA, USSTRATCOM and designated OPORDs and FRAGORDs.
- Troubleshoot local and remote installations of security suite products components and support deployment of endpoint modules and policies
- TS clearance with current SSBI/SSPI and eligibility for special accesses
