JOB SUMMARY
Provide the inhouse controls and electrical expertise enabling the Facility Services department to maintain a multi-group, multi-building cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing, laboratory, and administrative site. Additional responsibility for the maintenance of, the access to, and the development of the primary controls. Develop electrical and controls improvements and resolve issues. Provide technical support to other Facility Services teams, Engineering projects, and other departments. Comply with cGMP/GDP requirements and applicable electrical codes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provide oversight for the campus BMS, SCADA, PCS, EMS and campus PLCs to include:
Responsible for Corrective and Preventative maintenance work on electrical systems
Installs electrical circuits following applicable state and national codes
Look for improvement possibilities and problems resolutions on electrical systems
Perform technical and administrative updates to preventive maintenance plans
Maintain training requirements
Assist other trades as required
Ensure all work on campus is in compliance with NEC
Maintain a current and detailed knowledge of cGMP
Participate in special projects as assigned by management
Seek ways to increase operational efficiency
Will have the proper training to perform various SAP functions. Training will include: Deviations, CAPAs, and Change Control and SOP revisions
Provide set-up and logistical support for VIP visits and on campus corporate functions
Must comply with all applicable rules and regulations of Emergent and the Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry. This includes FDA regulations such as cGMP, GDP, EH&S regulations, and company regulations such as the employee handbook

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS
Bachelors/Associate degree in engineering/science related field or a minimum of 8 years in an electrical/controls technician role.
5 years of general maintenance experience required
2+ years of controls experience in support of manufacturing operations
Strong BMS and PLC experience, including troubleshooting of software, hardware, and field devices. Experience with alarm handling desired
Ability to read and understand PLC control language. Allen Bradley experience desired
Prior cGMP experience is strongly preferred. Experience with 21 CFR part 11, Annex 11, GAMP guidelines desired. Experience with commissioning, qualification, and validation a plus
Experience with HVAC systems and controls a plus
Must have the ability to multi-task and coordinate feedback and adapt to change within a dynamic environment
Must be tenacious while maintaining integrity and self-awareness
Must be customer service and quality driven
Journeymens license
Annual Journeymens license renewal
Tri-Annual code update
