Qualifications Knowledge & Experience:
- 5 Years of Professional Experience
- 3 Years of Scheduling Experience
- 2 Years of VA Experience, would be helpful
- Experience supporting resource loaded project schedules and IMS for government program
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to relate to all levels of staff
- Experience preparing reports and presenting to stakeholders
- Knowledge of resource loading
- Must be proficient using MS Project and using automated schedule tools
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience in assisting Product Teams in planning and scheduling tasks.
- Has experience working with project planning and integrated scheduling practices and techniques associated with utilizing Microsoft Project and MS Project Server integrated with SharePoint.
- Possess strategic planning skills and have a thorough understanding of internal and external compliance policies.
Education/Certifications/Clearance:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Office management curriculum or equivalent (or 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)
- Project Management Institute - Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) certification, would be helpful
- Current VA PIV card, VA GFE Laptop, and VA network access, would be helpful
- Must be able to achieve a moderate (Tier 2) VA position of trust.
Responsibilities This role will serve as part of the team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) with the implementation, integration and sustainment of a fully integrated supply chain solution that provides the full spectrum of medical logistics. The Supply Chain delivers clinical care to Veterans by managing the logistics and flow of supplies and equipment. Supply Chain Management (SCM) ensures that the right equipment and supplies are available when needed, and the Supply Chain Management Product Line (SCM PL) encompasses the activities to procure resources, manage supplies, and deliver goods and services to providers and patients.
This team will be focused on implementing a scalable to support accelerated site deployment, while at the same time supporting integration with additional VA systems and sustainment of current integrations.
The team will have a blend of specific expertise and experience in SAFe Agile, Product Management, Development, Security and Operations (DevSecOps), engineering, and Data Migration.
The Lead Planner will to lead efforts to develop and maintain a project-level Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for use on a day-to- day basis to monitor project execution, and periodically assessment overarching progress in meeting Project cost, schedule, and performance goals and objectives. IMS is used to estimate and verify attainability of Project objectives; to evaluate progress toward meeting implementation requirements; and to integrate within the Project schedule all Work Breakdown Structures, critical milestones, events, related dependencies, and associated activities.
Responsibilities:- Developing and maintaining a project-level IMS for use on a day-to-day basis to monitor project execution, and periodically assessing overarching progress in meeting project cost, schedule, and performance goals and objectives.
- Maintaining project schedules, gathering requirements and updates from customers, and building custom reports and briefings for senior leadership.
- Developing and deploying custom Business Intelligence reports within Project Server
- Collecting, assessing and addressing customer requirements with organizational processes and business process management tools and adjusting/enhancing as necessary
- Leading efforts to develop and maintain a project-level Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for use on a day-to-day basis to monitor project execution, and periodically assessing overarching progress in meeting project cost, schedule, and performance goals and objectives.
- Coordinating with high level program schedules at various levels.
- Assisting in developing and proposing solutions for mitigating schedule-related risks; developing reports and displays as requested and/or in conjunction with project reviews; and performing and/or assisting in critical path analysis and other ad-hoc forms of schedule-related analysis.
- Assisting in planning and scheduling tasks; developing baseline schedules and associated artifacts to meet contractual/project requirements, and monitoring, analyzing, and reporting performance against baseline schedules to ensure contractual, cost and schedule objectives are met.
- Overseeing the incorporation of technical, logistical, contractual, and programmatic changes into the IMS on a real-time basis in order to maintain accurate and current project baselines and projections.
- Reviewing, monitoring and tracking changes of stakeholder schedules on a recurring basis.
- Consulting with management and customers on modifications for optimum schedules.
- Publishing the IMS to a Project Server site to support the collection and organization of data and the interpretation of timelines.
- Create and run ad hoc reports when requested by users and stakeholders, and verify the reports are accurate and as expected
