The Western Union User Experience Design team is looking for a highly motivated UX Leader to head the UX research function in Western Union.
Role Responsibilities
Leading the UX Research function for our Product org, working in close partnership with the Design and Product teams
Act as primary point of contact for all team research needsfrom large foundational and generative projects to evaluative, tactical, and investigative quick wins
Responsible for creating research plans, managing research, moderating interviews and interpreting research results.
Coordinate and conduct mixed-methods research, including interviews, usability testing, concept testing, surveys, fieldwork, and other methods as needed
Provide thoughtful guidance and education to stakeholders to turn vague business needs into actionable research questions
Craft research reports to clearly communicate your findings and make impactful design and product recommendations for the team.
Role Requirements
7+ years of user research experience, in user/product/software UX research space, preferably with some experience in a lead role or primary point of contact for a large product area with many stakeholders
Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with research design utilizing various methods (e.g., mixed-methods research, including interviews, usability testing, concept testing, surveys, fieldwork/ contextual inquiry, and other methods,).
Working knowledge of general research principles (experimental design, bias, confounds, etc.) and UX research principles (usability testing, design thinking, etc.).
Easily communicates complex concepts, with ability to influence strategy and decision making
Can successfully manage project prioritization and multiple stakeholder relationships independently
Experience with usertesting.com & unmoderated testing
Collaborative attitude, team mentality, and humility
A learners mindset, seeing feedback as a chance to grow

Salary
The on-target earnings range is $128,010 - $180,000 per year, which includes a base salary and short-term and long-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates' qualifications, skills, and competencies.
