Analyst will be a part of a team that supports the loan administration of agented deals, participation, and bilateral loan deals.  The position requires strict deadlines are met, a quick learner, and individual to be organized. Individual is required to understand and work in accordance with internal procedures and facility-specific documentation. Analyst will be trained to read and interpret documentation and terms of credit agreement.  Senior Analyst will be part of a loan administration team.  

 
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions
  • Reading and interpreting of loan terms, agreements, and/or related documentation.
  • Perform loan servicing for different types of loans, which includes P & I payments and managing escrow accounts
  • Facilitate in client inquiries, such as reporting requests and initiate account set up
  • Provide support to Senior Loans Operation Analysts in providing our client 3rd party loan servicing capabilities.
  • Process requests from team email boxes timely and accurately.
  • Reconcile any discrepancies of principal, interest and fees.
  • Process primary, secondary, and 3rd party loan trades.                       
  • Research and drive break resolution identified in reconciliations, either for daily or month-end reporting purposes
  • Other work include projects and any remediation efforts, as assigned.
Decision-Making Responsibility
  • Assist with streamlining and cost saves of our processes.
  • Partake in solution of gaps identified in performed functions, if any
  • Initiate and maker of transactions and loan processing, including but not limited to loan funding
  • Ability to escalate and communicate to both internal and external stakeholders
Management of Risk   
  • Each employee must be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with the role and acts in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations.
  • Each employee must ensure compliance, operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies; and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issues.
  • Each employee must promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand.
  • Maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurring including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting in accordance with section B.1.2 of the Group Operations FIM
Observation of Internal Controls
  • Each employee must maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators. Any failures to comply with the above should be reflected in year end performance assessments.
  • Each employee must understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.
