POSITION SUMMARY

The RN Manager (Employee Health/Work Injury Nurse) serves as a RTW (Return to Work) case manager for the WIN (Work Injury Nurse) Management Department at Trinity Health.  They also serve as a contracted employee for WSI (Workforce Safety Insurance) and serves as a liaison between area businesses, clients, physicians, and WSI. The RN Manager is responsible for assisting injured workers in returning to work and communicating with the employee, employer, and WSI regarding work ability outlined by the treating physician. Additionally, they are responsible for supervising the Employee Health Department which includes the Fit Testing Program.

Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is able to work independently and has the following mandatory skills and experience:

• Knowledge of WSI, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines, and CDC (The Center of Disease Control and Prevention) recommendations.
• Have good communication, attention to detail, strong leadership, and effective interpersonal relationship skills.
• Experience in assessing injuries and providing first aid.
• Proficient in nursing skills and assessments.
• Ability to understand health concepts and terminology.
• Good typing and computer skills.

Licenses and Certifications Required

• Current or temporary RN license in ND (North Dakota) or compact RN licensure.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Preferred Requirements

• Previous experience in the treatment and rehabilitation of work-related injuries.
• Case management experience.
• Background in medical/surgical, orthopedic and neurology areas of nursing.
• 1-3 years healthcare management.
