ADP is hiring a Senior Director Strategic Planning for our Tax business. Reporting directly to the General Manager of Tax.

The Senior Director Strategic Planning is a critical role designed to identify, prioritize, and drive the execution of ADP's Tax strategy. The leader needs to have a strong product development background, understanding and discipline for very large highly matrixed organizations. Leading a group of Tax subject matter experts, the Leader will need to be able to mature our befit realization, requirements gathering, testing and organizational readiness utilizing a stage gate process to deliver upon committed strategic deliverables. The leader will have to be able to look across the Tax portfolio, payroll portfolio and the Human Capital Market industry to identify the strategic initiatives that will yield the greatest market share for ADP.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with senior leadership to define and support execution of a coherent go-to-market strategy to help drive growth and gain market share
  • Collect and leverage learnings from across the organization to help inform our roadmap and go-to-market initiatives
  • Research and interpret industry trends and competitive information to develop strategies and tactics for responding to changes in the marketplace.
  • In collaboration with other senior leaders, perform critical analysis/due diligence of identified opportunities and develop recommendations, draft operating plans and pro forma financial statements, business case statements, business plans, and project implementation plans.
  • Lead the implementation of approved projects. Monitor, gather and analyze data on projects in process, communicate performance against established project milestones, and make follow up recommendations
  • Identify, research and recommend new and innovate go-to-market approaches to pilot
  • Leverage internal and external insights and best practices on how to drive sales growth for a new and innovative business for Tax

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 12 years of quality experience focused on go-to-market (sales, sales ops, marketing etc.)
  • Exceptional interpersonal collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to work in a heavily matrixed organization and to influence cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work and thrive in a team environment, focused on achieving results
  • Ability to quickly understand complex processes and varying stakeholder agendas and motivations
  • High resilience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

  • Prior experience in strategy development, product development and consulting multiple large organizations on strategy product strategy
  • Deep understanding of the product development process such as the stage gate process
  • Experience developing and evaluating strategies: identifying and framing issues, developing hypotheses, conducting stakeholder interviews and data analysis to test key hypotheses, recommending solutions, developing execution plans
