Responsibilities



Perform acoustic and signal processing research related to US Navy submarine acoustic sensors. Develop data processing and analysis algorithms and support their transition to operational use. Process and analyze acoustic data to quantify sensor and recording system performance and issues. Document results of research in white papers and proposals for improvements in software and processes.


Qualifications

Requires 5 to 8 years with BS or 3 to 5 years with MS or 0 to 2 years with PhD. Electrical Engineering or similar degree and background desired. Must have a background in acoustics and/or digital signal processing. Experience in underwater acoustics a plus. Experience with US Navy submarine sensors also a plus.
