Qualifications

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:
Bachelors degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
Five (5) years experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a Bachelors degree.
Must meet DoD Directive 8570 IAM Level 1 requirements (Security+ at a minimum).
Computer Network Operations - Must have at least one (1) year of demonstrated experience in Modern operating systems and network architectures.
Information Assurance - Must have at least one (1) year of demonstrated experience in certification and accreditation. Architecture development and design. Risk Assessments. IA Metrics gathering.
Experience patching and upgrading servers, installing software on servers, creating, and editing security groups
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph

Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:
Experience providing engineering solutions for server build outs within both Windows and Linux environments
Demonstrated ability to provide technical integrity, quality and completeness of work associated with deliverables, processes, etc.
Understands how to configure multiple VLANS (voice and data) onto switches using Putty software client
Network+ certification and experience not a requirement but preferred.
Comprehensive understanding of the OSI model as it relates to switch configuration, data flow and TCP/IP protocols.
Familiar w/ cisco switches, configuring SFPs and troubleshooting fiber runs
Experience using Active Directory as a domain service

Experience imaging desktops/laptops
Experience with making RJ-45 cables
Experience with terminating fiber
Experience troubleshooting workstations, network printers and VoIP phones
Related certifications, e.g. CISSP, CEH, CCENT, CCNA, A+ etc.

Responsibilities

Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity, and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems
Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
