Qualifications Requires 10 to 12 years with BS/BA or 8 to 10 years with MS/MA or 5 to 7 years with PhD.
- Must hold active/current fully adjudicated DoD Secret clearance
- Requires 12 to 15 years with BS/BA or 10 to 13 years with MS/MA or 7 to 9 years with Ph.D.
- Minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience in BMC Remedy Suite ITSM, including version 9.5; or equivalent
- Have at least 10 12 years experience with implementing and supporting Remedy Action Request System (ARS), IT Service Management (ITSM) and Configuration Management Data Base (CMDB) within an ITIL type environment.
- Understand how to design Remedys base line Application on a Production and Development environment.
Specific Remedy configurations are addressed below.
- Experience should include at least three Remedy implementations in an enterprise environment and a minimum of five (5) years designing, configuring, supporting, maintaining, troubleshooting and managing a Remedy system.
- Experience with ARS and ARS related applications, proficiency in upgrading Remedy to newer major versions and experience working with SQO DBs.
- Experience consolidating multiple instances of ARS into a single Remedy solution.
Responsibilities Responsible for translating the clients business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for very large complex IT solutions and integrating architecture. Acts as an advocate for the client as the ultimate authority on the architecture designed to address client business problems. Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains enterprise-wide solutions to total system or subsystems using internally created and/or off the shelf products. Analyzes and identifies all or part of a company's existing or new peripheral, network, and telecommunications systems requirements, taking into consideration the special technology needs. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Provides direction for design activities. Often project-based, sometimes working at customer sites.
Serve as a subject matter expert related to implementation of the Remedy IT Service Management System. This position is responsible the planning, designing and documenting the instructions for implementing Remedy into an enterprise environment, which includes testing and documenting production support guidelines and procedures for the service center transition period and during operations post transition.
Position is based near McDill Airforce Base, Tampa FL. Other locations may be considered to include but not limited to Peterson AFB, Colorado Spings, CO and Lackland AFB (San Antonio); Langley AFB, Hampton VA
Job Purpose- Consult and advise on business/support processed
- Provide guidance and documentation on day-to-day administration and maintenance tasks, as well as configuration, upgrades and patches.
- Guide direct, build and assists with ITSM solutioning, reporting design and configuration, provides innovative solutions and troubleshoots Remedy related issues
- Consult and advise as part of a team to gather requirements and to develop a plan of execution concerning Remedy projects.
- Create a plan design and build for BMC ITSM to interface with the SolarWinds Orion suite of products.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for the integration of BMC Remedy ITSM 20.08 into daily functions, including but not limited to
- Analysis of business requirements, coding of modifications or new program, creation of documentation,implementing, testing and maintenance of applications, infrastructure, and information systems including database management systems.
- Utilizes Remedy expertise to determine and analyze needs and requirements. Based on determinations, makes recommendations to Enterprise ITSM management, and helps to develop / execute project plans.
- Consult, develops and enhances Remedy ITSM workflows.
- Assists in the development of system documentation on revised systems changes along with knowledge sharing across the program.
- Demonstrate and train team on performing ITSM Remedy installation, testing and production support activities.
- Monitors and troubleshoots scheduled tasks and event logs for system, application, & security errors.
- Recommends and plan strategies for upgrades and resource management.
- Consult and guide the development of workflows that support business and industry best practices in Remedy IT service management.
- Works within the Information Technology function, obtaining resources and working in support of objectives and strategies. Provides required documentation and participates in architecture reviews to ensure that the solutions comply with standards and use approved technologies.
